Rabbi Edery arrived in Japan in 1999. Ever since he has spread his activities to all cities in Japan.
Over the years he was contacted many times about a shul and Jewish presence in Kyoto. He did many activities in Kyoto over the years. With G-d’s help, and with the blessings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Mh”m, in August 2016 he opened the first Chabad House in West Japan, Chabad of Kyoto.
This has become the lighthouse for all people, thousands have visited, enjoyed the warm and lively atmosphere, ate kosher meals and schmoozed in its first year. Join us for this momentous occasion.
